Producing Champions and Ski Loversy  for Over a CenturY

Camp Fortune Ski Club was originally established in 1910 and has been operating the current racing program as a not for profit alpine racing club out of Camp Fortune located on NCC lands in the Gatineau Park since 1920. Athlete focused, led by professional coaches, and parent supported, we are an independent organization providing Alpine Ski Racing Programs for athletes ranging from Nancy Greene (age 7) to the U21 level. Our focus on developing good people, healthy lifestyles, and strong families distinguish us as a premier club in the region. Our race programs have a long-standing history of producing life-long ski enthusiasts, and developing world-class ski racers. Some of our famous alumni include John & Harvey Clifford, Art & Andy Tommy, Anne Heggtveit, Betsy Clifford, Ken Read, Horst Bulau, and most recently Patrick Biggs, representing Canada at the World Championships and Olympic competitions.

Why Choose Camp Fortune Ski Club?

We are based at Camp Fortune the closest hill to Ottawa, just 15 minutes from downtown.

We are a non-profit organization; all your dollars are channelled toward skills development and coaching for your athlete. Parents are expected to volunteer their time to stage races and run everyday administration of the club.

We cater to members from both Ontario and Quebec.  Our Équipe de Ski Camp Fortune is open to skiers wishing to represent Quebec. Athletes residing in Quebec are registered through Ski Québec alpin (SQA) and Ontario athletes are registered through Alpine Ontario.  We strive to provide bilingual service to our members.

We offer a complete range of alpine racing programs. Our seasoned coaching staff will offer your young athlete a complete range of ski development and race training programs, including: Nancy Greene Ski League (7 to 14 years) and Competitive racing programs for racers aged 8 to 18. Our programs are suitable for skiers who want to work on developing their ski technique with a taste of racing or to those who want to race competitively and dream of joining Provincial and National Ski Teams.
